Advanced CanSkate

Cochrane Skating Club's Advanced CanSkate programs are designed to transition skaters from CanSkate into the Junior StarSkate ("figure skating" program).

CanSkaters that have achieved CanSkate Stage 3 and are interested in figure skating, are eligible for the Advanced CanSkate program. Skaters must be invited by the coaches to register in Advanced CanSkate.

Skaters will continue to focus on CanSkate stages 4 through 6, along with an introduction to figure skating specific skills including; edges and turns, jumps, spins, performance and off-ice training.

Advanced CanSkate shares ice time with our Junior StarSkate program and skate on Tuesday and Thursday as well as participate in an off-ice session on Tuesdays with the Junior skaters.

2024-2025 Fall/Winter Season Dates: September 3, 2024 to April 17, 2025

Tuesday:
- Advanced CanSkate Ice 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Advanced CanSkate Off-Ice from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m.
Thursday:
- Advanced CanSkate Ice 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Skaters should register for the Tuesday and Thursday programs as well as the off ice/dryland on Tuesdays.

2025 Spring Season Dates: May 29 to June 24, 2025

Tuesday and Thursday 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Note: As this program is a continuation of CanSkate, helmets are mandatory. Please watch your skaters specific calendar/dashboard for skating dates and times, holiday etc. by logging into the system.
