Below is a list of programs the Cochrane Skating Club is offering for the 2024-2025 Season:

PreCanSkate:

Pre-CanSkate is a 30 minute class. 

 

Monday Afternoon Program 3:15 to 3:45 PM:

  • Fall: Sep 16 to Dec 16, 2024
  • Winter: Jan 6 to Mar 24, 2025

Tuesday Program 5:15 to 5:45 PM:

  • Fall: Oct 1  to Dec 3, 2024
  • Winter: Jan 7 to Mar 18, 2025

Thursday Programs 5:15 to 5:45 PM:

  • Fall: Oct 3 to Dec 5. 2024
  • Winter: Jan 9 to Mar 22, 2025

Saturday Program 9:00 to 9:30 AM or 9:30 to 10:00 AM:

  • Fall Sep 21 to Dec 6, 2024
  • Winter: Jan 11 to Mar 22, 2025

**No classes:  Sep 30, Oct 12, Oct 14 , Nov 11, Dec 2, Feb 15,  Mar 10

Skaters can register for more than one day (e.g. Tuesday and Thursdays) as skill development will occur quicker with more practice / on-ice time. Simply add each program to your cart. 

CanSkate:

 

Monday Afternoon Program 3:00 to 3:45 PM:

Saturday Program 9:00 to 10:00 AM (1 hour):

**No classes:  Sep 30, Oct 12, Oct 14 , Nov 11, Dec 2, Feb 15,  Mar 10

Note: Skaters are encouraged to skate 2x per week in CanSkate.  

 

Advanced CanSkate: 

 

Advanced CanSkate is a bridging program to figure skating. Skaters must have completed at least level 3 of the CanSkate program AND be invited by the coaches to attend this program.  If you are not sure if your skater is eligible, please contact office@cochraneskatingclub.ca 

2024-2025 Fall/Winter Season Dates:  September 3, 2024 to April 17, 2025

  • Tuesday: 
    • Advanced CanSkate Ice 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  
    • Advanced CanSkate Off-Ice from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. 
  • Thursday: 
    • Advanced CanSkate Ice 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.  
  • Skaters should register for the Tuesday and Thursday programs as well as the off ice/dryland on Tuesdays.  

 

Note: As this program is a continuation of CanSkate, helmets are mandatory.    Please watch your skaters specific calendar/dashboard for skating dates and times, holiday etc. by logging into the system. 

Junior StarSkate:

Season Dates:  September 3, 2024 to April 17, 2025  ** check your account calendar for dates/times; no skating dates etc. 

Skaters also have the option of registering for additional sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in additional to the Tuesday and Thursday sessions.  Please note the Additional sessions are not meant to replace the Tuesday and Thursday group coached classes.  

These optional sessions skate with Intermediate and Senior skaters.  Not all coaching fees are included in these sessions as lessons may be taught in private or semi private manner.  The coaches will invoice you directly for their coaching time - invoices are sent directly to the member at the end of each month.  Members must keep their coaches account in good standing at all times or the club reserves the right to suspend a skater until accounts are no longer in arrears per club policy. 

  • Optional Mondays - must register for Tuesday and Thursday Junior sessions:  
    • All StarSkate Levels (Coaching Fees Extra) 6:45 to 7:45 AM 
    • All StarSkate Levels Flex (Coaching Fees Extra) with Start Time at:  4:00 to 5:00 PM OR 4:15 to 5:15 PM OR 4:30 to 5:30 PM OR 4:45 to 5:45 PM** includes 15 minutes of edge/stroking from 4:45 to 5:00 PM
      • Additional 15 minutes of ice time can be purchased for Monday PM after purchasing 1 hour program (if a skater wishes to skate for 30 or 45 minutes longer on Mondays for the season contact office@cochraneskatingclub.ca).
  • Tuesdays: 
    • Junior StarSkate:  4:00 to 5:00 PM
    • Junior StarSkate Tuesday Off-Ice:  5:15 to 5:45 PM
  • Optional Wednesdays - must register for Tuesday and Thursday Junior sessions: :
    • All StarSkate Levels Edge, Spin & Turn  5:00 to 5:45 PM
    • All StarSkate Levels Jump Technique and Fitness 5:50 to 6:30 PM  
  • Thursdays: 
    • Junior StarSkate: 4:00 to 5:00 PM
  • Fridays - must register for Tuesday and Thursday Junior sessions: :
    • All StarSkate Levels Ice (Coaching Fees Extra) from 7:00 to 8:00 AM  
  • Optional Saturdays - must register for Tuesday and Thursday Junior sessions: : 
    • ALL STARSkate Levels (Coaching Fees Extra) 10:00 to 11:00 AM Note: Time Changes to 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 am when CanSkate is NOT session 

Program Assistant Clinic (Mandatory): September 14, 2024 --  10 AM to 1:00 PM 

Intermediate StarSkate:
